At The Helm
Founder President Dr. Padmasingh Patil, a veteran leader and social activist established Terna Charitable Public Trust for the welfare of the poor and drought stricken people of Marathwada region.

For more than three decades now, the organization has been making a difference in the lives of the people here.

Dr. Padmasinha Patil served cabinet minister for more than 25 years and has been home minister, Irrigation minister and Energy Minister between 1980 to 2004. He represented Osmanabad constituency in the State assembly till 2009 and now,represents in Parliament.

During his tenure as minister he made efforts for the development of Osmanabad by constructing roads, creating sufficient water storage facilities for irrigation and drinking water, ensuring efficient energy transmission and distribution networks and bringing many more basic amenities.

His dedicated efforts brought Osmanabad on the Rail and Air route network map of India.

Shri Rana Jagjitsinha Patil –

A telecommunication engineer by qualification, Rana Dada, as he is fondly called,has been instrumental in developing and implementing government policies in the field of self employment, agriculture and Industries.

A sitting Member of the Legislative Council in Maharashtra, he has served as a Minister of State for Industries, Agriculture from 2004 to 2009. During his tenure as state minister in Maharashtra Cabinet, he was instrumental in initiating and framing progressive, development oriented policies. Through his efforts Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation initiated the setting up of the industrial zone in Kaudgaon at Osmanabad. Shri. Patil is the architect of the government scheme under which Osmanabad got drinking water to the tune of 9 million liter per day (mld) from the famous Ujani dam in Western Maharashtra!

He is also instrumental in making Osmanabad the solar power destination in Maharashtra.

One of the youngest leaders of Maharashtra, Rana Dada’s dynamic leadership has helped Terna Trust to take strong roots in mainstream education, applied research, employability development & skill enhancement.

The Team

More than …… people from different walks of life work incessantly to bring the Trust’s vision into reality. Highly qualified educationists, medical and para medical professionals, legal and financial experts as well as experienced activists from the social development sector form the brains and hands of the Trust.

They work with the Trustees to envision the strategies of the Trust and draw up plans to implement them at the ground level. Hundreds of trained volunteers help in executing educational programs, health awareness campaign, sustainability initiatives and several social and economic projects on the agenda of the Trust.
